Job Summary
Senior Technical Program Manager
Position Responsibilities:
Manages cross-squad programs across complex technical regulatory or other cross-cutting needs
Ensures progress against important milestones where consistent and coordinated implementation is required
Maintains a perspective on impact of changes required for implementation
Lead development and documentation to ensure ongoing maintenance of technical and regulatory solutions
Defines scope for complex cross-team projects with high impact
Leads coordination efforts with some leadership support of Product Owners Architects and Engineers to meet regulatory and technical requirements
Often exceeds purpose and quality requirements
Has positive impact to specific organizational entities & understands nature of impact
Required Qualifications:
Demonstrates understanding of how technology supports Manulifes strategy
Strong detail orientation
Awareness of full-technology stack
Strong understanding of interconnections between various business priorities
Known for expertise in specific fields within working team and associated teams
Solid interpersonal skills beyond role requirements
Deep knowledge of discipline and deep tacit understanding across domains
Beginning to apply knowledge to market demands and addresses potential customer requirements
Often sees overall picture and alternative approaches; vision of what may be possible
Good understanding of the political relationships within the firm
Strong knowledge & expertise of the business
Good organizational and problem-solving abilities that enable you to manage through creative abrasion
Good verbal and written communication; able to effectively articulate technical vision possibilities and outcomes
Strong analytical skills.
Good grasp of complex situations
Excellent issue management and problem solving skills
Familiarity with insurance industry and distribution related systems is a plus
