The Scholarships and Financial Aid Unit is mainly responsible for the administration and allocation of scholarships and financial assistance schemes for UGC-funded students in the Unit now invites applications for the position below:
Senior Student Development Officer/ Student Development Officer()
Responsibilities:
- Administer various scholarships and financial assistance schemes for undergraduate and postgraduate students including promotion arranging selection interviews liaising with stakeholders processing applications updating webpage and database arranging payment;
- Assist in the allocation and nomination of scholarships including handling promotion drafting emails and letters liaising with donors government offices colleagues and students;
- Handle all necessary arrangements for new scholarships including updating the database and website and setting up of accounts;
- Assist in the compilation of statistical summaries annual reports for endowment funds as well as reports for the relevant committee(s); and
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- A bachelors degree with at least five years of relevant work experience. Previous work experience in tertiary institutions or in the Scholarships & Financial Aid field would be an advantage;
- Good interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail;
- A high level of self-motivation and the ability to multitask and work effectively both as a team player and independently to meet tight schedules; and
- An excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (both Cantonese and Putonghua).
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a written test.
The initial appointment will be made on a twoyear fixedterm contract. Reappointment thereafter will be subject to mutual agreement and satisfactory performance.
Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
