Requirements

• Degree holder in related disciplines

• A minimum of 5 years security-related working experience of which 2 years in a managerial or supervisory role

• Possession of Corporate Membership of a recognised professional instituition such as Member of the Security Institute Certified Protection Professional Certified Member of International Professional Security Association is preferred

• Sound performance development and staff motivational skills in a difficult or complex situation

• Knowledge of basic risk management concepts and principles

• In-depth knowledge of criminal law and procedures security/fire practices and systems.

• Candidates with extensive experience but lower qualification will also be considered

Responsibilities

• Lead supervise and monitor uniformed security staff to ensure high standards of performance discipline morale welfare and compliance with policies and safety requirements.

• Continuously review operations investigations and safety performance and recommend improvements to prevent incident recurrence and enhance effectiveness.

• Ensure staff readiness for emergencies major incidents and special operations through appropriate training and competency development.

• Manage resources responsibly including budgeting financial control administrative support and achievement of departmental targets.

• Maintain effective liaison with internal and external partners and oversee site security inspections to ensure risk-appropriate controls are implemented.
