The technology division supports mission-critical trading platforms across multiple asset classes delivering highly available low-latency infrastructure that enables global market connectivity. The team offers a fast-paced technically challenging environment where engineers play a key role in maintaining business-critical systems.

The Team

You will join a regional production support team responsible for supporting electronic trading applications across the Asia-Pacific region. Working closely with infrastructure network development and vendor teams the group ensures the stability performance and availability of trading platforms. This is a highly collaborative hands-on technical team where problem-solving and operational excellence are at the heart of the role.

The Role

We are looking for a Senior Technical Application Support Engineer with strong UNIX/Linux expertise to provide operational support for low-latency trading platforms. This is a hands-on production support position requiring deep technical troubleshooting skills rather than GUI-based application support. You will investigate complex production issues work across multiple infrastructure layers automate operational tasks and collaborate with various technology teams to maintain a highly resilient trading environment.

Requirements

• Extensive hands-on UNIX/Linux administration and troubleshooting experience
• Strong technical production/application support background within a low-latency environment (Investment Bank Hedge Fund Exchange or similar)
• Ability to troubleshoot applications directly from the operating system and command line rather than relying on graphical tools
• Strong understanding of UNIX logs processes networking and system performance analysis
• Experience supporting mission-critical trading or market connectivity platforms
• Solid knowledge of networking concepts and market connectivity
• Good understanding of infrastructure components including operating systems middleware and hardware
• Hands-on scripting experience (Python Shell JavaScript or similar)
• Experience with DevOps technologies such as Kubernetes Docker or related container platforms
• Experience with enterprise batch scheduling tools such as Control-M or ITRS is a strong advantage
• Exposure to electronic trading platforms or market access solutions such as Fidessa ION Trading Bloomberg Tradeweb or similar platforms would be highly beneficial
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to manage complex production incidents
• Comfortable working with cross-functional teams including Development Infrastructure and Network Engineering
• Willingness to participate in an on-call rota and provide weekend support during maintenance windows and production incidents
