Senior Actuarial Manager

Position Responsibilities:
- Lead and deliver the quarterly NBV results including model run coordination result validation NBV projection and movement analysis ensuring accuracy and timely submission.
- Oversee working and control validation to ensure the integrity of the end-to-end NBV production workflow.
- Drive the monthly NBV forecast and prepare business review meeting materials working closely with the Product Pricing team Distribution Controller and regional teams.
- Lead NBV-related local and regional initiatives basis change modelling and system initiatives including documentation and control standardization.
- Manage technical enquiries from various stakeholders including internal parties regional teams and external reviewers.
Required Qualifications:
- Qualified or nearly qualified fellow of a professional actuarial organization
- Minimum 7 years of relevant working experience in the insurance industry with experience in valuation financial reporting or new business value / embedded value being advantageous.
- Solid actuarial knowledge and experience with specific expertise in NBV / embedded value IFRS17 and/or HKRBC reporting within a direct life insurer being a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with demonstrated ability to work with complex financial issues and concepts coupled with keen attention to detail.
- Value good process and control with the capability to deliver results under pressure and within tight reporting deadlines.
- Strong technical / modelling skills; knowledge or experience in Python AXIS or PathWise is an asset.
- Capable of functioning effectively as both an individual contributor and a team player with good communication presentation and stakeholder management skills.
- Effective command of English both spoken and written.
