Manager, Legal

• Support the Hong Kong business verticals with legal advice on a broad range of operational and business matters spanning from regulatory intellectual property e-commerce employment privacy competition and technology issues.

• Advise draft and negotiate a wide range of contracts with third parties such as marketing partners suppliers and restaurants.

• Review products features and initiatives to provide practical business-driven legal advice while managing legal risk.

• Be a legal business partner in initiatives that influence all aspects of the business.

• Detail-oriented proactive mindset and ability to communicate legal concepts clearly to non-legal colleagues.

• Collaborate with our legal teams in Berlin HQ and the APAC region to ensure standardization and alignment on legal matters.

• Support continuous improvement of standard agreements and legal processes.

• Instruct and manage external advisors and counsel as necessary.

Qualifications :

• Bachelors Degree in Law and called to the Hong Kong solicitor (or equivalent common law jurisdictions).

• 1 to 4 years PQE with experience dealing with legal commercial matters at a leading law firm or in-house department at a platform e-commerce or internet technology company.

• Competition privacy law and regulatory experience is preferred but not mandatory

• Strong legal knowledge contract negotiations writing and drafting skills.

• Experience in fast-paced entrepreneurial start-up/technology environments with the ability to manage numerous projects simultaneously under tight deadlines and pressure.

• Excellent communication skills with fluency in addition the ability to communicate in Cantonese and/or Mandarin languages would be preferred but not mandatory.

•  Great interpersonal influencing and stakeholder management skills.

• Experience navigating stakeholders through highly ambiguous situations.

• Self-motivated highly driven team player and a self-starter.

• Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
