Our client is one of Hong Kongs largest and most pre-eminent law firms advising on the full range of complex deals disputes and transactional work arising from Hong Kong and Mainland China. An opening has arisen for a junior commercial litigation and arbitration lawyer to join its general commercial litigation team.
WHAT
You will work closely with colleagues across a broad range of commercial disputes including complex and high-stakes commercial litigation property litigation (not construction) international arbitration and tech-related and financial services regulatory investigations. Day to day you will support the team on disputes and regulatory advisory matters conduct legal research and analysis on Hong Kong and cross-border disputes draft pleadings regulatory responses and client correspondence and liaise with clients counsel and professional advisers under appropriate supervision.
YOU
Candidates should be Hong Kong-qualified with 2 to 3 years post-qualification experience in general litigation and dispute resolution ideally with prior experience at an international law firm or top-tier domestic firm. A solid foundation in general commercial dispute resolution is essential along with excellent written and spoken English and Cantonese (traditional Chinese); fluency in Mandarin would be a bonus. Experience in arbitration and financial services disputes is highly advantageous as are strong commercial acumen client management and interpersonal skills and the ability to work under pressure as part of a close-knit team.
