Job Summary

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with relevant stakeholders to facilitate the effective implementation of the human factors programme and related safety management system procedures
  • Conduct human factors studies and provide human factors advice on relevant safety management system and business process such as asset design and renewal incident investigation competence management risk assessments etc.
  • Maintain a database to capture and analyse human error related events from accident and incident reports to identify the underlying causes and impacts systematically and ensure appropriate mitigation measures are in place
  • Conduct trainings and promotions for raising awareness on human factors and enhancing the control of human performance risks

Requirements

  • Degree in Human Factors Engineering / Ergonomics / Psychology or a related discipline
  • A minimum of 5 years relevant experience in Human Factors engineering preferably in railway environment of which 3 years should be at supervisory level
  • Possession of Corporate Membership of a recognised professional institution is preferred
  • Training in Hazard Management / Risk Assessment is an advantage
  • Good interpersonal communication and presentation skills in English and Chinese (including Cantonese)
  • Candidates with less experience may be considered for a junior position
