High School Counselor

Experior Asia is supporting a leading international school in Hong Kong with the appointment of an experienced High School Comprehensive Counselor to work with students across Grades 912.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced school counselor to join a highly regarded international education environment and provide comprehensive support across students social-emotional wellbeing academic development and university and career planning.

The successful candidate will work closely with students throughout their High School journey providing individualised guidance and helping students make informed decisions about their academic pathways personal development and future opportunities.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Providing comprehensive counseling support to students across Grades 912.
  
• Supporting students social-emotional wellbeing and personal development.
  
• Providing academic guidance course selection and educational planning.
  
• Supporting university and college preparation applications and post-secondary pathways.
  
• Advising students on career exploration and future opportunities.
  
• Building strong and trusted relationships with students and families.
  
• Working collaboratively with teachers school leaders and other counseling professionals.
  
• Identifying students requiring additional support and coordinating appropriate interventions where necessary.
  
• Maintaining accurate and confidential student records.
  
• Contributing positively to the wider pastoral and student-support programmes of the school.
  

Applicants should ideally have:

• A relevant degree and professional qualification in school counseling counseling psychology education or a related discipline.
  
• Previous experience working as a counselor within a secondary/high school environment.
  
• Experience supporting students across social-emotional academic and university/career counseling.
  
• Strong knowledge of international university and college admissions would be highly advantageous.
  
• Experience within an international school environment is desirable.
  
• Excellent communication interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
  
• The ability to work sensitively and confidentially with students and families from diverse international backgrounds.
