Role Purpose:
This is a newly created position for our newly acquired business with 9 legal entities in Hong Kong India Indonesia China (Shenzhen) China (Shanghai) Bangladesh Philippines Vietnam and Turkey. The Financial Controller will lead finance integration activies and work in the details as well as provide oversight proving processes prior to hand over as well as leading training and developing the future finance team post TSA.
Crave-out and integration leadership
- Own delivery of the finance carve-out across each transition phase includingpre-close preparation Day 1 and first close transition and stabilisation Navision go-live and TSA exit and post-integration optimisation.
- Govern the finance aspects of the TSA: Confirm scope ownership and readiness-based exit criteria for each workstream (order to cash revenue recognition procure to pay treasury tax and compliance month-end reporting audit).
- Opening balance sheet preparation for cutover . Entity configuration and cloning across the nine entities opening balance validation revenue upload design reporting and bridge-file mappings user acceptance testing and go-live sign-off.
- Lead the newly acquired finance team (4 FTEs) across Hong Kong (hub) and India covering general ledger accounts payable accounts receivable and reporting.
- Work hands-on through the integration Overseeing and performing detailed finance work where required (reconciliations revenue and cost uploads journals balance sheet substantiation and month-end close) so future-state processes are proven before they are handed over.
- Track progress risks dependencies assumptions and deviations against the TSA plan escalating to M&A team where required.
- Statutory compliance - Manage the relationship and service levels of local compliance providers preserving local finance capability and business knowledge in each jurisdiction.
Month-end closing reporting and financial control before TSA exits
Lead finance operations financial control and reporting for the finance team carve-out from target into the LRQA operating model so that:
- ensure financial process and reporting is consistent with LRQA process before TSA exit;
- revenue deferred revenue cost and cash are recorded in the correct entity and period and reconciled from Aruvio to SUN6/Navision each month;
- invoicing collections supplier and subcontractor payments payroll and statutory compliance continue without interruption throughout the carve-out;
- the acquired Hong Kong and India finance teams are assessed developed and slotted into the future-state structure with the Financial Controller working hands-on alongside them to establish clear process ownership before TSA exits.
Month-end closing reporting and financial control post TSA exits
Lead the finance team of 4 and on accounting month-end closing reporting and controlling of the newly acquired business
- month-end close balance sheet control statutory accounting and third-party providers are managed to a consistent group standard;
- work with LRQA HK finance team to design and establish a scalable finance operating model that supports future acquisitions and integrations;
- Own the month-end close across all nine Omega entities and deliver the monthly management reporting cycle within the agreed deadlines;
- Maintain robust balance sheet reconciliations for every entity with supporting documentation retained and auditable;
- Ensure newly acquired businesss financial reporting has been arcuately included in the bridge file for reporting to the Group;
- Review the monthly results investigate material variances unusual margins and provide month end commentary.
Technical / Professional Qualifications / Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Finance Accounting Economics or a related field; MBA or relevant professional certification (e.g. CFA CPA) is preferred.
- Minimum of 12 years of experience > 8 years in people management role in accounting financial planning and analysis preferably within a multinational company.
- Strong leadership skill; lead by example and foster learning culture striving for continuous improvement
- Hands-on player-manager able to perform detailed finance work personally as well as provide oversight review and training.
- Revenue recognition and deferred revenue experience.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
- Experience managing third-party providers (e.g. TMF Acclime local advisers) and external auditors.
- Carve-out TSA and/or ERP implementation and integration experience highly preferred.
- Confident proactive communicator across operations shared services group finance and external providers in different time zones.
- Proficiency in financial modelling forecasting and budgeting tools and software. Navision/Dynamic/BPC/SAP/ByD experience is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional and multicultural environment.
- High level of integrity professionalism and attention to detail.
