Educational Assistant - Inclusion/Learning Diversity

Kennedy School is seeking a dedicated Educational Assistant Inclusion/Learning Diversity in our Inclusion Department to inspire and empower our diverse community of learners. We invite candidates who have previous experience supporting learning diversity and working with students with varying learning profiles to apply for the role. The position will commence in August 2026.

The role supports the students and their learning in class works with children in small groups assists the teachers with administrative or preparatory tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Build strong trusting relationships with students to create a sense of belonging and a safe space for taking risks in their learning.

  • Support students (alongside the classroom teacher) in their learning journey focusing on both academic growth and emotional resilience.

  • Lead small groups of children to scaffold new ideas and help them remain engaged and focused on their tasks.

  • Support students with diverse learning profiles by tailoring environments and pathways so they can participate fully alongside their classmates.

  • Work with students who require additional accommodations or levels of adjustment to access the curriculum and achieve their individualised goals.

  • Support the teacher and learners by preparing resources and providing organisational assistance.

  • Take a proactive role in supervising students during break times managing playground dynamics and ensuring a safe environment outside the classroom by following school routines and procedures.


Requirements

  • A good command of written and spoken English.

  • Sound behaviour management skills.

  • Team player

  • Flexible and uses initiative.

  • Previous experience of working with children is an advantage.

  • Keen to learn and take on constructive feedback

The successful applicants will be offered a full-time contract on a term-time basis.

Applicants must be a permanent Hong Kong resident or possess a valid visa to work in Hong Kong.
