Data Governance Manager
Job Summary
Job Description:
Drive the execution and enforcement of enterprise data governance frameworks policies and standards across regions ensuring consistent adoption and operational effectiveness.
Lead and develop a team of data governance specialists by setting clear priorities assigning responsibilities and ensuring high-quality timely delivery.
Facilitate governance forums ensuring decisions are documented actioned tracked and closed with clear accountability.
Own enterprise data quality outcomes for analytics and master data by overseeing monitoring remediation and MDM practices ensuring measurable business impact.
Embed data and analytics controls into upstream processes to minimize rework improve consistency and enhance transparency and ROI.
Ensure compliance with data security privacy and regulatory requirements by collaborating with IT Security and Legal teams to enforce controls and policies.
Oversee governance of analytics and data platforms including access control usage monitoring and cost transparency.
Establish effective operating rhythms for the data governance function build team capability promote data literacy and enable self-service analytics within defined guardrails.
Requirements:
15 years of professional experience including 8 years in data management and governance within multinational organizations.
Bachelors degree or above from a recognized university.
Proven track record in leading enterprise data and analytics governance with the ability to operationalize frameworks and standards.
Strong expertise in data governance disciplines including data ownership data quality and master data management with accountability for outcomes.
Solid understanding of data privacy security and regulatory requirements with experience implementing effective controls.
Demonstrated experience managing governance teams and delivering data governance initiatives at scale.
Strategic yet hands-on mindset capable of embedding governance into daily operations and driving business value.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills in a global cross-functional environment with fluency in English.
