Were looking for a Compliance Assistant to join our ever-evolving Merchant Compliance Team and help shape the future of global this role youll help protect merchants clients and the payments ecosystem by driving compliance strengthening data security and reducing risk across complex payment environments. Your expertise will directly influence how businesses safeguard sensitive information respond to emerging security challenges and maintain compliance with industry standards. Working alongside internal stakeholders vendors card brands and merchants youll have the opportunity to shape compliance outcomes enhance client confidence and contribute to Global Payments mission of enabling secure seamless commerce around the world while supporting the future of trusted payments.

What youll own

  • Drive stronger compliance outcomes by helping merchants and service providers navigate security requirements reducing risk exposure and improving adherence to Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) requirements.

  • Influence merchant security and resilience by providing expert guidance that helps clients address vulnerabilities strengthen controls and maintain trust in their payment environments.

  • Improve programme effectiveness through data-driven analysis identifying compliance trends recommending enhancements and helping increase the overall success of merchant protection initiatives.

  • Strengthen stakeholder confidence by serving as a trusted advisor for complex compliance matters enabling informed decisions and consistent alignment with regulatory and card brand expectations.

  • Champion continuous improvement by building collaborative partnerships across the business and with external stakeholders to enhance compliance processes elevate security standards and support long-term business growth.

What youll bring

  • Proven experience in payments compliance payment processing cybersecurity risk or a related field with a track record of helping organisations achieve and maintain compliance requirements.

  • Strong knowledge of PCI DSS requirements payment industry standards and risk-based assessments with the ability to translate complex requirements into practical business solutions.

  • PCI Internal Security Assessor (ISA) certification and the ability to provide trusted guidance on security compliance and data protection matters.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with experience influencing clients partners and cross-functional teams across a variety of technical and business environments.

  • A proactive self-motivated approach with the ability to manage changing priorities solve complex problems and deliver high-quality outcomes in a fast-paced environment.

Its a bonus if you have

  • A bachelors degree or additional experience working directly with card brands payment networks vendors or operational teams within the payments industry.

  • Experience supporting merchant compliance programmes with a strong focus on client satisfaction and relationship management.

  • Familiarity with Global Payments Heartland Payment Systems (HPS) TSYS or similar payment processing platforms and environments.
