Business Compliance Manager Payments
Job Summary
Act as the primary point of contact for financial regulators and supervisory authorities.
Lead regulatory inspections inquiries audits and ongoing supervisory engagements.
Manage remediation programs arising from regulatory reviews audits or internal assessments.
Coordinate cross-functional responses to regulatory requests and ensure timely delivery of required documentation.
Draft and maintain regulatory submissions including Client Money Policies fund flow reports risk assessments and other regulatory documentation.
Monitor regulatory developments and assess their impact on the business.
Develop and maintain compliance frameworks supporting key payment and fiat activities
Conduct compliance assessments of payment service providers payment agents settlement agents and other financial partners.
Perform due diligence and risk evaluations for payment-related business relationships.
Ensure compliance with cross-border payment regulations and applicable financial crime requirements.
Support and lead the expansion of payment Licences into new jurisdictions
Lead the development review and enhancement of internal compliance policies procedures and controls supporting business growth but ensuring regulatory compliance and best practice
Conduct gap analyses against regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
Perform onboarding risk assessments for new partners vendors and strategic business relationships.
Cross function collaboration including with Legal Risk Operations Product and Business teams to ensure regulatory requirements are appropriately embedded into business processes.
Bachelors degree in Law Finance Accounting Business Administration or a related discipline.
10 years of experience in Regulatory Compliance Regulatory Affairs Business Compliance or related functions within regulated financial institutions.
Demonstrated experience directly engaging with financial regulators and PSP/EMI/MSB type licensing frameworks. Crypto compliance expertise is an additional advantage
Proven experience managing regulatory inspections examinations audits and remediation programs.
Proven experience leading policy development and compliance gap analysis initiatives.
Experience in driving new licensing opportunities
Experience within cryptocurrency digital asset or virtual asset service provider (VASP) environments.
Experience in Middle East or Southeast Asian regulatory environments
Previous experience as a Compliance Officer or Regulatory Affairs professional within a licensed bank payment institution securities firm or regulated financial services company.
Strong regulatory communication and stakeholder management skills.
Excellent commercial and business acumen preferable in Payments / Fintech environments
Ability to serve as the companys primary representative in interactions with regulators.
Excellent analytical policy drafting and risk assessment capabilities.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced high-growth and highly regulated environment.
Resilient detail-oriented and capable of managing multiple priorities under pressure.
