More about the role:

As an Associate Director in our Financial Communications practice you are expected to manage day-to-day client activities and provide guidance to junior team members through ongoing counsel and effective delegation. You will contribute to Bursons performance by managing client relationships satisfying and delighting clients helping generate new business and growing existing accounts. You are required to support our corporate strategy and your practice or office to help ensure superior client service a winning culture and profitability.

What youll do:

  • Lead and manage day-to-day activity on multiple financial or professional services accounts building excellent client media and team relationships.
  • Clients first port of call for daily updates advice and knowledge.
  • Strong media relations skills and network particularly for regional and international financial/business outlets.
  • Contribute to the development of a strategic plan for clients overall media relations and thought leadership programs.
  • Delivery to deadlines maintaining a close eye on quality and keeping the client fully up to date on the execution of PR plan. Joining a fast-paced team delivering high-impact services to its clients.
  • Maintain good records of all client meetings events etc.
  • Compile monthly report of client activities

Experience that contributes to success:

  • Degree holder in Language and Communications Journalism Translation or other related disciplines; Finance and Accounting would be a plus.
  • Minimum 12 years of relevant experience (Journalist PR agency consulting or financial institution).
  • Capable of multitasking on multiple projects managing priorities and meeting deadlines while maintaining a high attention to detail.
  • Good knowledge of financial markets and professional services sectors.
  • Excellent written English and Chinese with good communication skills.
  • Able and willing to serve a versatile portfolio of clients.
  • Capable of developing network and participate actively in business development.
  • Proven presentation and strategic planning capabilities.
