Assistant Manager – Engineering Planning (Operations) (Ref. 260000JD)

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering planning input to the new railway extension projects to ensure the operability reliability sustainability safety and efficiency of various railway operating systems
• Coordinate with line departments of Hong Kong Transport Services and various departments of Capital Works Business Units to safeguard the safe and smooth implementation of interface works on the operating railway with impact to passengers minimized
• Monitor the resource expenditure supporting the operating interface works and new project delivery
• Coordinate with line departments on new asset handover and operational and maintenance hazards close-out with respect to new railway opening
• Coordinate and support on-site inspections testing & commissioning statutory inspections handover inspections demonstrations and other trial operations activities prior to railway opening

Requirements

• Degree in engineering discipline or equivalent
• A minimum of 4 years working experience of which 1 year should be gained in a railway environment
• Possession of Corporate Membership of a recognised professional institution such as Hong Kong Institution of Engineers is preferred
• Good interpersonal communication and analytical skills are essential

• Experience in Civil Maintenance design / maintenance of Automatic Fares Collection System Lift and Escalator Rolling Stock Security Access Management System or depot operation is an advantage
