Responsibilities

• Act as a key member of the Financial Reporting team supporting technical accounting matters under the reporting function
• Provide technical accounting analysis and resolve complex accounting issues in accordance with HKFRS
• Perform profit and loss analyses and balance sheet reviews to ensure completeness and accuracy of financial statements
• Oversee the accounting treatment of aircraft sublease transactions including proper recognition and disclosure
• Support the financial reporting process including month-end and year-end close activities
• Liaise with external auditors and manage audit-related matters
• Drive process improvements including the automation of the Fixed Asset Register
• Collaborate with Financial Business Partners to establish and maintain inventory accounting processes and controls
• Strengthen internal controls and contribute to continuous improvement of financial reporting processes
• Participate in system enhancements and other finance transformation initiatives

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or a related discipline
• Qualified accountant (HKICPA ACCA CPA or equivalent)
• Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in audit financial reporting or technical accounting
• Big Four experience is highly preferred
• Strong knowledge of HKFRS with hands-on experience in technical accounting under a financial reporting function
• Experience with NetSuite ERP system is highly desirable
• Exposure to aviation leasing or asset-intensive industries is an advantage
• Strong analytical problem-solving and organisational skills
• Ability to meet tight reporting deadlines and manage multiple priorities
• Good communication and stakeholder management skills
• Self-motivated proactive and detail-oriented

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with HKFRS 16 and lease accounting
• Exposure to process automation or finance transformation initiatives
• Familiarity with internal controls and audit compliance frameworks
• Experience in system implementation or digital finance transformation projects
