Job Summary
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced EQD Key System Support Engineer to support and enhance our FOMO (Front Office Middle Office) ecosystem running on related in-house systems. This role involves ongoing production support monitoring issue troubleshooting and implementing enhancements and improvements across the core trading engine and surrounding in-house components.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide 24x7 or defined shift support (as applicable) for the EQD Key System and associated in-house systems.
- Perform monitoring of application and system health; investigate and resolve incidents in production.
- Troubleshoot issues across:
- Calypso platform components
- In-house services interfacing
- Underlying OS/network/system behavior
- Implement enhancements and improvements for FOMO workflows and downstream integrations.
- Support user baseby investigating production issues impacting functional flows.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver improvements.
- Maintain operational documentation and support runbooks escalation procedures and knowledge base.
- Participate in root cause analysis (RCA) and prevent recurrence through corrective actions.
Required Skills
1) Linux & Command Line
- Strong hands-on experience with Linux environments
- Proficiency using command line tools process/network troubleshooting logs permissions and file management
- Ability to understand system behavior and troubleshoot issues using Linux utilities
2) Scripting (Bash / Python)
- Practical experience with scripting for automation and troubleshooting
- Strong knowledge of Bash scripting; Python experience is a plus
- Ability to write/modify scripts for log parsing operational tasks job automation and investigation support
3) SQL
- Solid understanding of SQL for data validation and troubleshooting
- Ability to write queries to investigate trade data system states message flows or database inconsistencies
