Purchasing Assistant

Eventscape has an exciting opportunity for aPurchasing Assistant.This position willsupport our purchasing team and adjacent departments with administrative and clerical activities. Theideal candidate will have strong attention to detail and time management excellent organizational skills and the ability to communicate effectively.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Purchasing Assistantwill have the following responsibilities:

• Purchasing Support
  • support the purchasing teamwith contacting and sourcing vendors
  • create and issue purchase documents
  • identify evaluate and escalate risks that could affect project deliverables and schedule
  • communicate with vendors and resolve discrepancies in price quantity quality and delivery dates
• Logistics Support
  • assist with shipping andlogistics by obtaining quotes and preparing all related shipping documentation
• Accounting Support
  • support the accounting department with daily matching of packing slips purchase orders and other related documents with invoices
• Coordination
  • set up meetings based on cross-functional availability for both internal and external stakeholders.
  • support various cross-functional departments with day-to-day clerical tasks
• Organization
  • build out and maintain processes to keep files organized and easily accessible.
  • monitor and maintain inventory systems
  • maintain the vendor database; ensure that purchase records and documentation are up-to-date

ABOUT YOU

• 1yearexperience in a purchasing supportrole or related
• exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
• proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• positive high-energy attitude
• awareness of construction material specifications tools and equipment
• post-secondary education in accounting finance or business administration an asset
• resourcefulness creativity and problem-solving skill set
