Job Summary

A PLUS Agency is looking for an Experienced Pastry Cook/ Chef for our client Paul the Pieman Bakeries.

Paul the Pieman in VIC is seeking a skilled and passionate Full-Time Pastry Cook/ Chef to join our busy team. You will be responsible for crafting high-quality savoury pastries fillings and baked goods. You will maintain the high standards that keep our display cases packed and our customers coming back.

Salary: 75000 to 85000 plus super

Key Responsibilities

Prepare portion and cook high-quality gourmet pie fillings and gravies.

Mix laminate and shape shortcrust and puff pastry for pies pasties and sausage rolls.

Follow established recipes accurately to maintain our award-winning consistency.

Manage stock levels monitor ingredients and minimise waste during production.

Maintain strict food safety kitchen hygiene and cleanliness standards.

Work collaboratively with the bread baking team to meet early morning deadlines.

Maintain strict food hygiene stock rotation and workplace health and safety (WHS) standards.

Collaborate closely with our counter staff to ensure showcase shelves remain fully stocked.

Requirements

Qualified Pastry Cook with a Certificate III in Baking / Patisserie (or equivalent trade experience).

At least 1 - 3 years of experience as a Pastry Cook in a commercial bakery environment.

Proven commercial pastry making experience ideally specializing in pies and flaky pastry work.

Reliability to handle early morning shift starts efficiently.

Physical capability to stand for long hours and lift heavy bakery raw ingredients.

Strong team focus and a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment.

Must have rights to work in Australia on a Full time basis.

Successful candidates must be willing to work early morning shifts and work the weekends.
