Compliance Manager

In this newly created role as Compliance Manager you will be reporting to the Group Head of Compliance and responsible for assisting in theimplementation and maintenance of our Groups compliance framework policies and practices to ensure adherence to legal regulatory and ethical obligations.
In so doing you will carry out the strategic direction of the Group Head of Compliance maintain the compliance program develop policies standards and procedures conduct incident and breach assessments conduct independent assurance establish positive relationships with Business Units serving as an escalation point and collaborator where compliance guidance is required ensure the organisation operates in accordance with regulatory obligations licence conditions and internal policies while embedding a strong compliance culture.
The three core pillars of this role are as follows:
- Promote a strong compliance culture within MMS
- Support the development and maintain the Compliance Program across the Group consistent with the Group compliance strategy
- Conduct monitoring measuring and reporting of compliance.

- Ensure the organisation complies with applicable laws regulations and licence conditions by interpreting regulatory requirements mapping obligations to internal processes maintaining regulatory registers and advising the business on compliance requirements
- Undertake compliance activities required to maintain and further progress the compliance program
- Conduct Compliance monitoring reviews perform control testing and review business processes for regulatory adherence
- Assess potential regulatory breaches coordinate breach investigations determine reportability to regulators maintain breach register and oversee remediation actions
- Monitor regulatory developments and guidance and work with relevant stakeholders to consider impact and any changes that should be made
- Provide reports on compliance incidents monitoring activities and regulatory developments
- Contribute to the development of compliance training programs regulatory awareness sessions providing guidance to business units and supporting a culture of ethical conduct and accountability
- Support the identification and management of compliance risks in partnership with risk management internal audit and legal teams
- Develop review and update policies procedures and controls to mitigate compliance and regulatory risk
To be considered for this role you will have:
- 4 years experience in compliance roles in a commercial environment with a focus on financial services
- Bachelors degree in law finance business or a related discipline with relevant postgraduate qualifications or professional certifications is highly desirable
- Deep understanding of regulatory frameworks applicable to the Group including but not limited to AML/CTF Act Privacy Act 1988 Corporations Act 2001 (Cth) NDIS Act 2013
- Proven track record managing compliance programs within financial services and NDIS sectors
- Demonstrated experience in uplifting compliance strategy framework and/or program
