Job Title: Environmental Officer
Location: Qatar
Duration: 3 Months (Contract Extendable based on project requirement)
No. of Positions: 2
Job Summary
We are seeking experienced Environmental Officers to support infrastructure construction projects in Qatar. The selected candidates will be responsible for ensuring compliance with environmental regulations sustainability standards and project-specific environmental requirements particularly within Lusail projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure full compliance with local environmental laws project specifications and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor environmental performance across infrastructure projects including roads highways tunnels underpasses pipelines and underground utilities.
- Prepare and submit daily weekly and monthly environmental reports.
- Handle Environmental Daily Logs (EDL) and Monthly Environmental Reports (MER) as per Lusail/LREDC requirements.
- Manage and close out Environmental Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs).
- Conduct environmental inspections audits and site monitoring activities.
- Coordinate with project teams to implement environmental management plans and sustainability measures.
- Ensure proper documentation and reporting aligned with environmental and sustainability standards.
- Support implementation and monitoring of ISO 14001 Environmental Management System where applicable.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Degree/Diploma in Environmental Science Environmental Management Environmental Engineering or related field.
- 710 years of total experience in the civil construction industry within Qatar or GCC.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in infrastructure projects (roads highways tunnels pipelines utilities etc.) in Qatar/GCC.
- Prior approval/experience in Lusail projects will be a strong advantage.
- Proven experience in Environmental & Sustainability reporting for Lusail Projects (EDL MER LREDC reporting requirements).
- Strong technical knowledge of construction processes and associated environmental controls.
- Proficiency in spoken and written English.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word Excel and PowerPoint.

- NEBOSH (Environmental)
- GSAS CGP
