About this job:
QSourcing Tanzania Limited is a manpower management solutions firm operating in the East African Region in the countries of Tanzania Uganda Kenya Rwanda and South Sudan.
On behalf of our Tanzania based client we are looking for a competent and experienced Open Market Manager.
POSITION IN THE ORGANISATION:
Job Location: Dar es Salaam
MISSION AND JOB DIMENSION:
The Sales Lead for the Unorganized Retail Sector will spearhead the strategy and for growing the presence of refurbished smartphones in informal retail environments such as independent kiosks small electronic shops mobile street vendors and openair markets across Uganda. This role requires someone who understands the unique dynamics of the informal retail sector and can drive volume growth optimize distribution and develop sustainable relationships with vendors in the space.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
ACTIVITIES
Strategy Development & :
Advise senior leadership on workforce planning and organizational design.
Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy tailored to the unorganized retail sector.
Identify highpotential regions and markets within Uganda for targeting unorganized retail outlets.
Design and manage product positioning and pricing strategies to appeal to vendors and end consumers in the informal sector.
Sales & Business Development:
Identify and onboard new sales channels and partners in unorganized retail including wholesalers vendors and agents.
Negotiate terms with retail partners and set up effective distribution models to maximize sales coverage.
Regularly conduct market visits to evaluate store performance train vendors and ensure brand consistency across all points of sale.
Relationship Management:
Develop and nurture strong relationships with key partners in the unorganized retail space ensuring repeat business and partner satisfaction.
Serve as a point of contact for feedback from vendors customers and the market to continuously improve offerings and customer experience.
Create loyalty programs sales incentives and reward schemes to incentivize vendor performance and loyalty.
Team Management & Training:
Manage and train a team of sales representatives assigned to different regions ensuring they understand goals and performance expectations.
Organize training sessions and regular checkins with the team to improve sales techniques and product knowledge specific to the informal retail market.

Market Coverage & Penetration.
Vendor Engagement & Satisfaction.
Inventory Management & Distribution Efficiency.
Market Intelligence & Competitor Analysis.
Team Performance & Development.
MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Education: Bachelor s degree in Business Marketing Sales or a related field.
Experience: At least 57 years of sales experience in the informal sector or a similar role ideally within the consumer electronics like Smart phones tablet laptops etc.
REQUIRED COMPENTENCIES:
Strong understanding of Tanzanias unorganized retail landscape.
Ability to work independently and in fastpaced environments.
Proficiency in using CRM software and data analysis tools.
ADDED ADVANTAGE:
Excellent negotiation communication and relationshipbuilding skills
