As a Technical Product Manager II youll own the technical direction of one of BCTs product lines ADCS star trackers reaction wheels power or another BCT product area assigned based on business need and your background. These are the building blocks that have enabled hundreds of spacecraft and missions and youll help shape where your product goes next.
Youll navigate between customers engineering and the business building the roadmap framing tradeoffs and helping the team converge when priorities compete and the path isnt obvious. Youre early in your product career but you take ownership naturally ask the right questions and dont wait for perfect information to start moving things forward.
Youll lead through influence rather than authority aligning stakeholders clarifying priorities and giving engineers the context they need to build the right solution. You care about products that are relevant repeatable and valuable over time and about turning real customer needs and market signals into clear direction.
BCTs mission is to enable space missions that expand the frontiers of science and defense. This is a high-ownership low-ceremony role with room to grow and your job is to carry that mission forward for the products you help lead. Pay Range: $105000 - $175000
(Salary to be determined by the education experience knowledge skills and abilities of the applicant internal equity and alignment with market data.)
On-site position at our Boulder CO location (work locations are subject to change based on business need).

Job Responsibilities
- Own the product roadmap for your assigned product line keeping it current as customer needs missions and the market evolve.
- Be the technical voice of the customer. Turn mission requirements feedback and market trends into clear priorities engineering can act on.
- Support the external story. Help prepare conference material and technical papers and contribute to customer conversations that show whats now feasible.
- Contribute to customer technical exchanges and reviews communicating status risk and direction clearly.
- Run product trade studies that balance performance cost manufacturability and mission goals.
- Support proposals and investment planning. Contribute technical content ROMs schedules and risk inputs and help scope IRAD/CRAD opportunities.
- Help keep the product line consistent. Support technical guidance on interfaces and design intent.
Required Qualifications
- A technical degree (Systems Aerospace Electrical Mechanical or similar) and 3 years of relevant engineering experience.
- Strong engineering fundamentals with the ability to think through interactions between engineering domains mechanical electrical software thermal and more.
- Exposure to a product or subsystem across its lifecycle with a growing grasp of concept through qualification production and sustainment including TRLs.
- The ability to work across Engineering BD Program Management and Operations.
- Clear written and verbal communication.

Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Systems Aerospace Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline
- 3 years of relevant engineering experience
- GNC engineering experience extra points for familiarity with BCT systems
- Spacecraft systems engineering experience with direct experience in a subsystem BCT supports (ADCS Power C&DH etc.)
- Hands-on experience with a component solution BCT supplies or competes against (star trackers reaction wheels CMGs torque rods sun sensors SADAs batteries solar arrays)
- Early product management product development or technical leadership exposure
- Configurable or variant-based products
- Trade studies and parametric analysis
- Familiarity with specs SOWs and subcontract technical inputs
- Flight-program experience under schedule pressure
- MATLAB or Python
- JIRA or similar planning/tracking tools
- A figure it out and get it done instinct
- Related technical experience may be considered in lieu of education
Working Conditions:
This job operates in a professional office environment but in a manufacturing company. This role uses standard office equipment such as computers phones photocopiers scanners filing cabinets and fax machines. BCT anticipates the application window closing approximately 40 days from the date the notice was posted. However factors such as candidate flow and business necessity may require BCT to shorten or extend the application window.
