Technical Lead UI

Role Summary
We are seeking a Technical Lead - UI to drive the design architecture and implementation of OverWatch our mission-critical command-and-control (C2) interface for autonomous ground vehicles. This role combines hands-on frontend development with technical leadership guiding a small team building highly reliable performant UIs used in real-world operational environments. The ideal candidate is comfortable making architectural trade-offs collaborating across disciplines and iterating quickly based on direct user feedback from the field.

In this role you will:

• Lead the technical team responsible for developing a cutting-edge command-and- control (C2) interface for autonomous ground vehicles.
• Own the frontend architecture defining coding standards best practices and design patterns for UI development.
• Remain hands-on in the codebase contributing to core UI features architectural components and critical bug fixes.
• Partner closely with UX designers to translate design systems into high-quality production-ready implementations.
• Collaborate with product managers to shape requirements and break work into clear deliverable milestones.
• Get into the field to observe real users operating the system in training and operational environments rapidly iterating and experimenting based on end-user needs.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in computer science engineering or related discipline and 3 years relevant professional experience; OR 5 years of relevant professional experience.
• Experience with React and TypeScript.

Desired Experience & Qualifications:

• Proven experience leading technical teams or serving in a technical leadership role
• Experience with different frontend development languages and frameworks.
• Familiarity integrating with a variety of backend APIs.
• Experience working with multiple communication protocols; prior experience with MQTT is strongly preferred.
• Prior experience with ATAK/TAK is strongly preferred
