Job Title: Manager Supply Chain Information Systems Location: Boston MA preferred (open to remote candidates) Contract Duration: 6 months FLSA Status: Exempt
Overview
We are seeking a Manager Supply Chain Information Systems to lead the operation maintenance and strategic direction of materials management and supply chain systems within a large healthcare environment. This role is responsible for driving system optimization supporting operational efficiency and enabling cost-saving initiatives across the supply chain function.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee the administration maintenance and enhancement of Materials Management Information Systems (MMIS) and related platforms
Develop and implement system protocols including vendor and item maintenance user setup troubleshooting and new functionality
Partner with internal stakeholders and IT teams to manage system upgrades patches and performance
Lead system-related projects including implementations reporting enhancements and process improvements
Direct and mentor staff responsible for system operations reporting and data management
Monitor vendor performance contract compliance and pricing accuracy using system tools
Identify and recommend cost-saving opportunities and operational efficiencies
Serve as the primary liaison between Supply Chain and Accounts Payable for system and invoice discrepancies
Develop and maintain policies procedures and training documentation
Provide training and support to internal teams on system usage and best practices
Qualifications
Education:
Bachelors degree in Business Administration or related field required
Experience:
5 years of supply chain information systems management experience in a healthcare environment
OR 10 15 years of relevant experience with at least 5 years in progressive leadership roles
Skills & Competencies
Strong project management and leadership skills
Ability to manage multiple initiatives and drive results
Experience leading and developing teams
Peoplesoft MMIS and GHX Required
Advanced knowledge of supply chain systems (ERP purchasing inventory reporting)
Proficiency in Microsoft Access Excel PowerPoint and Project
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
Ability to implement process improvements and new programs
Additional Requirements
Applicants must be eligible to work on a W-2 basis (no C2C)
Must be able to pass a background check and occupational health screening (includes flu vaccination)
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
Primarily desk-based with extensive computer use
Frequent data entry reporting and system navigation
Occasional light lifting (up to 10 pounds)
