NextGen Hospitality Solutions is looking for a passionate and skilled Kitchen Manager / Sous Chef to join our elite team at our upscale casual seafood restaurant located in Edina. As the Kitchen Manager / Sous Chef you will oversee kitchen operations ensuring that our dishes uphold the highest quality standards. You will play a crucial role in menu development staff management and maintaining a seamless workflow in the kitchen all while contributing to the ambiance that defines our restaurants unique dining experience. We offer a competitive salary range of $70000 - $75000 annually alongside an engaging workplace culture that fosters creativity and teamwork.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily kitchen operations and manage kitchen staff
  • Assist in menu planning and development with a focus on seafood dishes
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations
  • Train and mentor kitchen staff enhancing their culinary skills
  • Monitor inventory levels and place orders as needed
  • Assist in the preparation and presentation of high-quality dishes
  • Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure excellent customer service
  • Implement cost control measures to optimize kitchen efficiency
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Kitchen Manager or Sous Chef in a restaurant
  • Strong understanding of seafood preparation and cooking techniques
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Relevant culinary degree or certification is preferred
