Structural Engineering Specialist

STV has an immediate opening for aStructural Engineering Specialist (Buildings)to join our growing team in either ourPhiladelphia or Douglassville PAoffice as part of the Buildings Division. This is a great opportunity for an individual to work on exciting projects as part of a team of dedicated engineers. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a wide variety of challenging projects which will include tasks such as the design of a variety of new structures including buildings retaining walls and other miscellaneous structures; analysis of existing structures; review and/or production of construction submittals; and review of contract plans for conformance with established design criteria.

This position also offers a flexible career path with opportunities to pursue a technical track with increasing design and leadership responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

• • Preparing design calculations for buildings and other structures.
  • Developing structural and other drawings through Revit and AutoCAD software packages for buildings and other structures.
  • Producing design related reports. Reviewing shop drawings and other construction submittals.

Requirements:

• • Minimum of 0-5 years of experience in structural engineer design.
  • Bachelors Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering additionally a Masters Degree is preferred.
  • Successful completion of the FE exam (EIT certification).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Revit AutoCAD and familiarity of structural analysis software packages.
  • Strong skills in structural analysis steel and concrete design good time management skills a willing desire to learn and the ability to work in a team environment.
