Job Summary
Weekend Staffing Coordinator- Saturday/Sunday
- 7:00am-3:30pm
- 16hrs/week; not benefits eligible
- On-site at MGH Main Campus
We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Staffing Coordinator to support daily hospital operations by coordinating staffing assignments across multiple units. This role plays a critical part in ensuring appropriate coverage supporting patient care needs and maintaining efficient workflows in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate daily staffing assignments for Patient Care Assistants (PCAs) and resource staff across hospital units
- Manage incoming staffing requests and prioritize needs based on clinical urgency and patient care requirements
- Deploy patient observers and additional support staff as needed
- Communicate staffing assignments clearly and confidently to both employees and unit leadership
- Perform operational and administrative tasks within UKG and other workforce management systems

Qualifications
Education
- High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
- Can this role accept experience in lieu of a degree No
Experience
- 2-3 years administrative experience required
Knowledge Skills & Abilities
- Proficiency with office procedures and equipment i.e. filing copying scanning printing and faxing.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
- Ability to proofread and edit written documents.
- Ability to use phone system.
- Managing ones own time and the time of others.
- Strong verbal & written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal written and oral skills.
- Ability to use standard office equipment.
- Familiarity with medical terminology.
