Site Reliability Engineer Platform Reliability Engineer

RiVidium is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer / Platform Reliability Engineer to support our planned MODES III team supporting Military Community and Family Policy (MC&FP). This role supports IT Cybersecurity and Data Operations - Modernization & Innovation and helps deliver mission-focused outcomes for service members families and related stakeholders. Ensures PWS C.5.3 operational reliability; maintains privileged system access implements monitoring automation aligned to RMF controls and supports ATO sustainment through 24/7 availability engineering incident response and performance optimization.

Key Responsibilities

• Support platform reliability availability and operational resilience across supported services.
• Monitor performance identify reliability risks and help improve stability and recovery outcomes.
• Work with cloud and development teams on observability automation and service health improvements.
• Contribute to performance tuning incident follow-up and reliability reporting.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent professional experience.
• Relevant experience aligned to the role and labor category; openings may be filled at Senior (10-15 yrs).
• Ability to satisfy applicable Government personnel security requirements for the assigned role. For IT and cybersecurity workforce positions applicable DoD 8140 training and certification requirements will apply upon award.
• Strong communication teamwork and documentation skills in a mission-focused delivery environment.
• Hands-on experience with tools platforms or engineering practices relevant to the role.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with cloud-native engineering application delivery automation or reliability engineering as applicable to the role.
• Familiarity with secure software delivery testing DevSecOps or performance engineering practices.
• Experience supporting modernization efforts in regulated or mission-critical environments.

Work Setting

This role is expected to support work in the Alexandria Virginia area with on-site support at the DoD Mark Center or other customer-approved locations as required. Hybrid support in the Alexandria Virginia area is expected with on-site support as required by the customer.
