Job Summary
The main function of a packaging engineer is to design and release packaging material specifications. A typical packaging engineer is responsible for improving packaging design and material specifications through research and testing.
Job Responsibilities:
* Perform projects to reduce packaging material processing distribution and damage costs.
* Resolve complex product and packaging issues.
* Develop and apply graphic design elements and product.
* Identification standards for packaging materials.
* Coordinate packaging requirements with plants other departments sources and customers.
* Stay current on new technology and new developments.
* Apply high quality network/synchronous organization and lean strategies to achieve process improvement and promote teamwork.

* Ability to partner with senior management to analyze and solve issues.
* Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
* Ability to create blueprints and technical drawings.
Education/Experience:
* Bachelors Degree in Packaging or other related technical area.
* 5-7 years of experience required.
* Knowledge in MS Word Excel and PowerPoint.
