Frontier AI is moving faster than infrastructure has ever had to keep up with. Were hiring a Senior Technical Program Manager to deliver server and GPU capacity at gigawatt scale staying ahead of customer demand frontier model needs and the next wave of generative AI.
Youll own two programs at the heart of how AWS scales for AI. The first keeps capacity ahead of an unprecedented demand signal partnering across software hardware supply chain networking datacenter engineering power compliance and finance. The second is a brand-new program one youll get to define and build that shapes priorities for thousands of builders to reduce friction for AWS engineers and service teams operating in Government regions and drives critical decision making with highly visible leadership reporting.
From day one youll have ownership and autonomy to make data-driven decisions on programs that influence leadership three tiers above you. Youll have a front-row seat to emerging AI trends and a real say in how AWS shows up for the most demanding workloads on earth.
The candidate selected must obtain and maintain a security clearance at the TS/SCI with polygraph level. Upon start the selected candidate will be sponsored for a commensurate clearance for each government agency for which they perform AWS work.
Key job responsibilities
- Own EC2 capacity delivery against global commitments to AWSs largest Government customers and frontier-AI workloads.
- Define and build a new program to reduce friction for AWS Service teams shipping to Government regions.
- Produce executive-visible reporting that drives capacity capital and engineering-investment decisions.
- Set strategy and program structure where none exists and drive cross-functional alignment at scale.
- Influence priorities across software hardware supply chain networking datacenter engineering power compliance and finance up to three tiers above your level.
- Partner with engineering to ship the systems and automation that make both programs scale.
A day in the life
Your morning might start with a sync with engineering and supply chain leaders on near-term GPU delivery for a frontier customer commitment followed by a working session with datacenter engineering and power teams on capacity for a future region. By midday youre reviewing an executive briefing headed to senior leadership and then pivoting to your second program meeting with engineers from across AWS services to talk through what slows them down when they ship to Gov regions and turning those conversations into the metrics and roadmap the rest of AWS engineering rallies around. Youll move between deeply technical discussions and strategic narrative writing and youll do both with the autonomy to make calls and the support to make them well.

- 5 years of technical product or program management experience
- 7 years of working directly with engineering teams experience
- 5 years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience
- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams building processes and coordinating release schedules
- 5 years of project management disciplines including scope schedule budget quality along with risk and critical path management experience
- Experience defining KPIs/SLAs used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership
- Experience creating and implementing large-scale organizational programs

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience qualifications and location.
