Senior Core Java Developer (Financial Services)

STAFFXPERT LLC is seeking a Senior Core Java Developer on behalf of our client in New York City NY. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced software engineer to contribute to the design development and delivery of scalable high-performance enterprise applications supporting critical financial services platforms. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in modern Java development microservices architecture and cloud-ready application design along with experience working in fast-paced Agile environments.

• Design develop and maintain scalable high-performance applications supporting multiple business functions.

• Build enhance and support Spring Boot microservices and secure RESTful APIs.

• Develop efficient and reliable data solutions using relational and NoSQL databases.

• Participate in code reviews automated testing and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across business and technology functions.

• Ensure applications meet performance security compliance and quality standards.

• Troubleshoot production issues and implement sustainable solutions.

• Contribute to technical architecture discussions and mentor junior team members when needed.

• Follow Agile development practices and SDLC best practices throughout the project lifecycle.

• 8 years of professional software development experience.

• Strong hands-on experience with Java 11.

• Extensive experience with Spring Boot and Microservices architecture.

• Proven expertise in developing RESTful APIs.

• Strong experience with SQL databases and NoSQL technologies such as MongoDB and Elasticsearch.

• Experience using AI-assisted developer productivity tools such as GitHub Copilot Amp or similar platforms.

• Solid understanding of software design patterns object-oriented programming and application architecture.

• Strong analytical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Experience working within Agile development environments and SDLC processes.

• Experience with application performance tuning and observability tools.

• Background working in Financial Services FinTech Banking or other regulated industries.

• Knowledge of enterprise security authentication and authorization frameworks.

• Exposure to modern frontend technologies such as Angular or React.

• Experience supporting large-scale distributed systems and enterprise applications.
