Interactive Brokers is looking to hire a Sanctions Screening Specialist within its Global Sanctions Team in the Chicago / Greenwich / New York Office to serve in a critical role supporting the development tuning testing and implementation of sanctions screening controls within the firms Fircosoft environment. This role will focus heavily on rule writing screening optimization alert reduction data analysis and implementation support across IBKRs sanctions screening workflows. The ideal candidate will combine strong technical capabilities with hands-on experience supporting the Fircosoft Continuity screening platform in complex financial services environments.
This is an exciting opportunity to work at the intersection of sanctions compliance data analysis and financial crime technology within a highly sophisticated global brokerage environment.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the lead within IBKRs Global Sanctions Team to design write tune and maintain sanctions screening rules and matching logic within the Fircosoft platform.
- Analyze large alert populations false positives and screening outcomes to identify optimization opportunities and improve screening effectiveness and efficiency including through the use of emerging technology.
- Support the full rule lifecycle including requirements gathering development testing implementation and post-production validation.
- Work closely with Global Sanctions Operations Cashiering and Programming teams on screening enhancements and production deployments.
- Support tuning initiatives relating to fuzzy matching stop word logic and screening algorithms.
- Maintain technical and governance documentation relating to rule logic tuning methodologies and implementation procedures.
- Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency screening quality and alert management processes.
Qualifications & Skills:
Basic Qualifications:
- At least five years of experience supporting sanctions screening AML technology or financial crime compliance systems within a financial institution broker-dealer fintech or bank.
- Strong hands-on experience with Fircosoft Continuity.
- Demonstrated experience writing tuning testing and implementing Fircosoft screening rules.
- Strong understanding of sanctions screening concepts including fuzzy matching threshold scoring and false positive reduction methodologies.
- Strong analytical skills with ability to assess large datasets and alert populations.
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Bachelors Degree is required with coursework in information systems political science international relations economics or financial crime preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
- CGSS CSS CAMS or similar certification.
- Familiarity with SWIFT MT/MX messaging and payment screening workflows.
- Experience with SQL scripting or data analysis tools used to support screening initiatives.
- Self-motivated and able to handle tasks with minimal supervision.
- Superb analytical and problem-solving skills.

This roles anticipated base salary range is $115000 to $165000 annually based on skills and experience. The offered salary is just part of the total compensation addition to a competitive salary the company offers both a discretionary cash bonus and stock award as well as a wide range of benefits including health care tuition reimbursement and much more
