Job Summary
Milender White is looking for a Construction Safety Coordinator for our Denver International Airport (DIA) project. The Safety Coordinator plays a key role in daytoday construction safety activities including site presence hazard recognition and proactive risk reduction.
This role is ideal for someone with construction safety experience who is looking to grow develop and advance their career within a strong fast paced safety environment. This position offers the opportunity to work on a highprofile construction program while developing the skills needed to advance.
The Construction Safety Coordinator reports directly to the Safety Manager with regular interaction and visibility to the VP of Field Operations. This role primarily field based with approximately 75100% of time spent on site at DIA supporting active construction operations and coordinating closely with project teams and subcontractors.
Compensation Range: $83000 to $102000
What Milender White expects from a Safety Coordinator:
- Participate in accident incident and nearmiss investigations assist with rootcause analysis and support corrective action development and tracking.
- Review subcontractor safety plans verify compliance with project and company safety expectations and support subcontractor mobilization.
- Attend contractor morning pretask planning meetings safety meetings subcontractor and foreman meetings and provide realtime safety support in the field.
- Conduct highrisk activity assessments with project teams document findings and report assessment data to the Safety Manager for review and control implementation.
- Support safety training and education efforts. This includes delivering or assisting with sitespecific safety training toolbox talks and ongoing education for the project team and subcontractors.
- Promote a strong safetyfirst culture by maintaining visibility in the field coaching crews and reinforcing safe work practices.
- Conduct routine safety inspections document observations track corrective actions maintain safety records and assist with reporting and compliance requirements.
- As experience grows the coordinator will have opportunities to take on increased responsibility and leadership within the safety program.
Qualifications:
- At least 1-4 years of construction safety experience and a baseline understanding of construction activities and safety practices are required.
- OSHA 30 Construction certification is required.
- CPR/First Aid certification is required or must be obtained within 30 days of employment. CHST or STSC certification is preferred but not required and OSHA 510 is a plus.
- Must pass background check and drug testing.
