ROPE ACCESS TECHNICIAN WIND TURBINE BLADE MAINTENANCE & REPAIR
2026 Season Immediate Hire Long-Term
We have immediate openings for the 2026 season. We are looking for dedicated Rope Access Technicians ready to mobilize.
PROJECT DETAILS
Status: Immediate Hire / Long-Term Work
Duration: Active throughout the full 2026 season
Rotation: 6 weeks on / 1 week off
Scope: Wind Turbine Blade Maintenance & Repair
COMPENSATION
Level 2: $35 $37/hr (depending on experience)
Level 3: $37 $40/hr (depending on experience)
MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
GWO BST (current in WINDA) fire awareness working at heights manual handling first aid
GWO BTT electrical hydraulic mechanical
IRATA or SPRAT certification (must be current; candidate must be physically capable of rope access work)
OSHA 10 General Industry
SGRE Blade C or Blade D certificate
GE NAM Blade LOTO certificate
Valid drivers license
Ready to mobilize immediately
PREFERRED SKILLS
5 years of high-quality composite repair experience performing all types of blade repairs
Knowledge of epoxy and polyester resins wet lay-up and vacuum bag techniques
Experience handling balsa and foam core materials
Knowledge of fiberglass reinforcement and structural repair methods
Ability to safely and properly use powered hand tools with good finger dexterity
Understanding of repair specifications including wind speeds temperature and humidity restrictions
Ability to read and interpret complex technical drawings and processes
IT literate including email internet and iPad usage
Ability to work well in a team take guidance and provide leadership when required
Experience safely setting up and using 360-degree and 2M basket platforms
Willingness and ability to travel extensively including on short notice
Ability to drive up to 11 hours per day when required
Flexibility to adapt to changes in scope and work assignments
Able to work safely in outdoor environments under extreme heat and cold
Physically capable of climbing ladders 2 times per day up to 300 feet (90 meters) bending crawling stooping and lifting up to 75 pounds
Ability to wear a respirator and work safely with protective equipment
Good vision (corrective lenses acceptable) for detailed inspections and safe equipment operation
Must be 21 to drive a company vehicle; good MVR report required
Must pass a criminal background check and maintain drug-free status
Valid passport is a plus
Eligible to work in the U.S. or Canada (citizenship or legal work authorization required)
