Position Overview: Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking Quality Control Technician - Sterile Processing for an exciting Travel or Local job in Modesto CA.
Responsibilities
Perform decontamination cleaning disassembly and reassembly of surgical instruments using proper PPE and safety protocols
Inspect instruments for cleanliness functionality and damage prior to sterilization
Assemble and package surgical trays and instrument sets according to established guidelines
Operate and maintain sterilization equipment including washers disinfectors and autoclaves
Follow ANSI/AAMI standards manufacturer Instructions for Use (IFUs) and facility SOPs
Maintain accurate documentation of sterilization cycles inventory tracking and instrument records
Identify and report missing damaged or malfunctioning instruments
Maintain cleanliness and organization of decontamination and processing work areas
Monitor and manage instrument and supply inventory levels
Ensure compliance with infection control and quality assurance standards
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure efficient workflow and instrument availability
Participate in ongoing training and competency development programs
Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance workflow efficiency and quality outcomes
Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Minimum 2 years of sterile processing experience required
Strong knowledge of instrument decontamination assembly and sterilization processes
Familiarity with ANSI/AAMI standards and manufacturer Instructions for Use (IFUs)
Experience operating sterilization and washer/disinfector equipment
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety
Basic computer and data entry skills
Ability to follow detailed SOPs and work instructions accurately
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
CRCST or CIS Certification preferred
Previous quality control or inspection experience preferred
Experience in hospital or surgical center environments preferred
Strong communication and teamwork skills preferred
