Job Description: As a Project Communications Consultant you will provide strategic communication support for the implementation and launch of a public-facing digital platform ensuring effective stakeholder engagement and user readiness. You will collaborate with leadership project teams and communication teams to design and execute communication strategies that translate technical information into clear accessible messaging. This role focuses on enhancing public awareness supporting change management and delivering high-quality communication materials aligned with branding and accessibility standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute communication strategies to support system implementation and launch
Collaborate with stakeholders to assess communication needs and improve messaging effectiveness
Create clear concise and user-focused communication materials for diverse audiences
Translate technical project details into accessible content for non-technical stakeholders
Develop deliverables such as communication plans key messages FAQs website content and outreach materials
Support stakeholder engagement initiatives and public awareness campaigns
Provide guidance on communication sequencing messaging and audience targeting
Participate in project meetings to stay aligned with project milestones and updates
Support change management communication efforts to facilitate smooth system transition
Ensure all communications adhere to branding guidelines and accessibility standards
Recommend improvements to communication processes and outreach effectiveness
Required Skills Experiences Education and Competencies:
Proven experience in strategic communications public relations or stakeholder engagement
Strong ability to develop communication strategies and deliverables for complex projects
Experience translating technical information into clear audience-friendly messaging
Excellent writing editing and content development skills
Strong stakeholder management and collaboration abilities
Experience supporting change management communication initiatives
Knowledge of accessibility standards and best practices for public communications
Ability to manage multiple deliverables and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment
Strong organizational and analytical skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Experience working on public-facing system implementations or digital transformation projects (preferred)
Experience in regulated or government environments (preferred)
The hourly range for roles of this nature are $50.00 to $80.00/hr. Rates are heavily dependent on skills experience location and industry.
