Opening for Project Lead is on a term-limited employment basis. Defined employment term: July 1 2026 - December 31 2026
The Project Lead(PL)willbe primarily responsible for implementingand administering CRDF project management best practices thePLdevelops and manages the technical financial and administrative aspects ofprofessionalexchange programstoensure they are administered and implemented in a manner consistent with CRDF Global PL will alsodevelop and manageadditionaldivisionprojectsas necessary.
This position is based in CRDFGlobalsArlington VA officeon a hybrid basiswith an in-office expectation of 3 days per week.
Major Responsibilities:
Designs and implements project plans using best practices forproject management includingwork breakdown structures (WBS) statements of work schedulesdeliverablesmonitoringand evaluation plans.
Managesmultiple projectssimultaneouslyforthe International Visitors Leadership Programandother exchange programsasrequired.
Designsand developsproject proposals and itineraries that meet the stated projectobjectiveswithappropriateadherenceto guidelines aroundcontent and geographic balanceprogramming priorities.
Works withinternal and external colleagues stakeholders and customersto design develop and implement in-personand virtualprogram activities.
Arrange professional meetings in the Washington D.C. area andprovideproject itinerary guidance to community partners for eachexchangeprogram.
Managesproject budgets payments and contributes to organizational financial monitoring responsibilities including project spend forecasting credit card reconciliation etc.
Assistteam with ongoing projects related to monitoring & evaluationandsocial media management(in coordination with the Marketing and Communications Team) among other areas.
SupportsCRDF Globalrelated growth efforts including managing stakeholder relations and networking with fundersdeveloping concepts and new project ideasserving on growth capture teamsandrepresentingprogram or projects at external events.
Supports other programs and staff asrequired.
Travels withinthe internationally asappropriate.
Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS:
Required:
2 yearsofprogressively responsiblework experience in managing donor-funded programming
Bachelors degree inrelevantfield
Demonstrated project management skills
Excellent and effective written and oral communication skills including the ability to interact with a wide range of individuals from varied backgrounds at all levels within their organizations
Sound problem solving skills and ability to workcollaborativelytowards effective solutions duringtime-sensitive concerns and emergencies.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and use of databases
Ability to manage competing priorities and multiple projects at various stages of completion
Exceptional organizational skills/attention to detail; ability to meet deadlines
Preferred:
Experience working in donor-funded projects especially for the U.S. government or multilateral institutions.
Experienceimplementingprofessional or academic exchangeprograms funded by theU.S. Department of State
Backgroundknowledgeor familiarity withpublic diplomacy programs
The base pay range for this position is $60000 to $72000 The determination of salaries in this job classification depends on a number of factors including but not limited to relevant candidate experience job-related knowledge qualifications and addition we have a comprehensive benefits package and paid time off.
