Pratt & Whitney is seeking a customer-focused technically proficient Project Engineer to join our Mechanical Systems Externals & Nacelles (MSEN) engineering organization. MSEN is a dynamic team responsible for the design development integration and certification of gas turbine engine systems supporting our commercial engine this role you will lead cross-functional engineering activities supporting the GTF and V2500/C390 programs. Youll collaborate with internal teams suppliers customers and airframers to drive project execution resolve technical challenges and deliver innovative solutions that meet program objectives for cost schedule quality and performance.

What You Will Do:

• Coordinate engineering activities and technical task execution with suppliers customers airframers and cross-functional teams to ensure successful program delivery.
• Develop and manage project schedules budgets and execution plans to achieve program milestones and on-time task completion.
• Communicate project status key performance metrics risks and mitigation plans to the Component Integrated Product Team (CIPT) and Engine Design & System Integration (EDSI) leadership.
• Lead Integrated Product Team (IPT) meetings with engineering manufacturing suppliers customers and airframers to drive alignment resolve issues and support timely decision-making.
• Coordinate field support activities including customer support documentation and leak testing with Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (MRO) facilities to ensure product performance and customer satisfaction.
• Travel: 15% (Domestic and International).

What You Will Learn:

• Gain experience managing engineering projects from planning through execution by coordinating with engineering manufacturing supply chain quality suppliers customers and airframers.
• Develop expertise in working directly with customers suppliers MRO facilities and airframers to resolve technical issues support field activities and ensure successful product delivery.
• Manage project schedules budgets risks and Agile workflows while presenting program status to leadership and facilitating IPT meetings.

Qualifications You Must Have:

• A Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering and 2 years of relevant engineering experience; or an Advanced degree in a related field.

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Familiarity with Pratt & Whitneys Leadership Operating Model or a comparable project execution framework.
• Demonstrated project management and organizational skills; Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.
• Strong analytical problem-solving and decision-making skills with the ability to develop creative solutions for complex technical and business challenges.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with experience collaborating across multidisciplinary teams and working directly with customers suppliers and external partners.

Department/Segment Overview:

Mechanical Systems Externals & Nacelles (MSEN): The MSEN Engineering organization is responsible for the design development and in-service support of power transmission systems bearing compartment and rotor support design and analysis oil and thermal management systems engine externals packaging and architecture as well as nacelles for commercial and military engine models. Technical disciplines include Project Engineering Mechanical Design Structural Analysis Product Definition System Modeling Mechanical Design analysis for bearings gears and seals and fluid-thermal modeling of associated components and systems.

• Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees as they are essential to the development of our products.

The salary range for this role is 68900 USD - 131100 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer including but not limited to the role function and associated responsibilities a candidates work experience location education/training and key skills.
