Job Summary

J.C. Higgins Corp. seeks Project Manager - Plumbing Division. Since 1924 J.C. Compensation Range: $110000.00 to $165000.00

This position is bonus eligible.

  • Member of local Plumbers Union / JCH Contributing to Union benefits

Annual Salary range $110k to $155k plus union benefits

  • NOT a member of local Plumbers Union

Annual Salary range $120k to $165k plus Standard JCH benefits

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • The Project Manageris responsible forleading all aspects of the project activities for the projects assignedin accordance withproject goals budget qualitycontroland companyobjectives.
  • Responsible for providing project management resources to act for the company in matterspertaining tothe successful progress and completion of assigned projects according to established budgetschedulesand contract documents.Ensures adherence to project budget and reports any potential risks or discrepancies tothe Vice president of Plumbingand during the budget review process monthly.
  • Understands complex project plans drawing specifications andscheduleas well as the resources necessary to complete the project on time and within budget.
  • Ensuresaccurateandtimelyproject documentation including but not limited to RFIs submittals schedule updates time records supplemental work orders change order pricing and general project correspondence.
  • Coordinate with the Superintendent and Project Field Staff todeterminethe priority of job especially when dealing with scheduling conflicts for labor and equipment.
  • Establishesmaintains and tracks performance standards for all work performed on assignedproject.
  • Perform regular inspections of all work performed on assignedproject.
  • Adheres to the Company uniform project management procedures and cost accounting standards.
  • Foster andmaintainconsistent and uniform cooperation among all departments in the company.
  • Prepare Project expense budgetsrevenueand profit projections for the Vice President of Plumbing.
  • Provides consistent supervision and monitoring of all work performed on assignedproject.
  • Providetechnical advice to both clients and employees working on assignedproject.
  • Works with the Plumbing Estimating Team on thebid mark-up thatareconsistent with the volume and profitobjectivesfor the Project and Company.
  • Review estimates and proposal scope letters.
  • Review RFQ/RFP documents for the solicitation of subcontractors and vendors.
  • Possessa high levelofexpertisein all phases ofmechanical/plumbing/HVACinstallation andconstruction.
  • Enforce compliance with all applicable laws regulations safetystandardsand contracts and report all variances toInsert Title.
  • Maintain confidentiality of work and anycompanyproject knowledge
  • Escalate critical and/or sensitive issues to Mangement Teamwith recommendation for resolution
  • Alignsassignments to achieve customer and companyobjective
  • Other related duties as assigned

Position Requirements/Preferred Education and Experiencereview for each job

  • MechanicalEngineering Degree ORMechanical/PlumbingTrade Diploma with a minimum of 3-5 years of Project Management experience in theMechanical/Plumbing/HVACIndustryOR a minimum of 5 years combinedMechanical/Plumbing/HVAC Fieldexperience and Project Managementexperiencein theMechanical/Plumbing/HVACIndustry. (Required)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and team skills. (Required)
  • Professional Certifications (Preferred)

Computer Skillsreview for each job

  • ProficiencywithMicrosoft OfficeApplications.
  • Experience withAccubid Procore Bluebeam or otherconstruction software.
  • Familiarity with construction/financial software packages.
