Shift: Tuesday-Friday (3:00PM-1:45AM); OT & On-Call as needed; Essential Personnel
Clinical Classification: Clinical
Important: You will be required to sit stand bend walk and lift up to 50 lbs. for the duration of the shift; as well as wear personal protective equipment to include: surgical gowns masks visors or goggles and caps.

How you will contribute to LifeNet Healths success:
As a Processing Technician VG you will perform all aspects of processing preservation and storage of tissues in an FDA regulated environment. Works in a team environment under aseptic conditions while performing controlled production processes. Performs quality assessments of tissue products and documentation. Each departmental processing technician position entails a level of complexity that varies based on physical demands knowledge of human anatomy required number of graft lines/product families processed complexity of processes required for proficiency number and types of equipment operated degree of manual dexterity and fine motor skills required and other special needs.
These roles are critical to the LifeNet Health mission because it is an important step in taking the donors gifts and transitioning them to the lifesaving and health restoring allografts for patients around the globe.
What youll do as a Processing Technician:
- Tissue Processing: Reviews work orders or processing instructions/scheduling prior to initiating production. Works with production supervisors to adjust plans as needed. Performs all aspects of processing tissue (debridement dissection cutting cleaning and disinfection sizing assessing) according to current procedures and protocols. Assists supervisory team in production enhancement and improvement initiatives.
- Packaging: Perform all aspects of packaging and preservation of tissue products (confirmation of sizing quality packaging materials cryopreservation etc.) according to current procedures and protocols.
- Documentation & Data Entry: Document all processes and functions performed in accordance with all procedures and protocols.
- Decontamination: Perform post-processing decontamination of equipment and the processing room according to current procedures and protocols.
What youll bring (Minimum Requirements):
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Must be 18 years of age or older to apply
- Zero years of work experience is required
Preferred Experience/Skills/Certifications:
- Certified Tissue Banking Specialist (CTBS) Certification preferred
- Bachelors Degree preferred
- One (1) year Tissue Processing Experience preferred

- Technical skills (preferred) General knowledge of anatomy able to use surgical instrumentation and equipment

Salary: $20.00 / hourly
*The pay rate for the successful candidate will depend on geographic location and the candidates qualifications including prior relevant experience. These positions start at a flat rate of $20.00/hour.
*Actual compensation may be higher based on the successful candidates knowledge and relevant clinical experience.
*This position is also eligible for an annual bonus based on certain criteria being met.
