Job Summary

This is a remote position.

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Payroll Manager to oversee and manage all payroll operations ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time while maintaining compliance with federal state and local regulations. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills experience with payroll systems and the ability to lead payroll processes in a fast-paced environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and process weekly bi-weekly semi-monthly or monthly payroll for employees.
  • Ensure accurate calculation of wages overtime bonuses commissions deductions and benefits.
  • Maintain compliance with federal state and local payroll laws and tax regulations.
  • Review payroll reports and reconcile payroll accounts.
  • Coordinate payroll-related activities with Human Resources Finance and Accounting departments.
  • Manage payroll system updates audits and process improvements.
  • Prepare and submit payroll tax filings and year-end reporting including W-2s and 1099s.
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll taxes benefits deductions and timekeeping.
  • Ensure confidentiality and security of employee payroll data.
  • Support internal and external audits related to payroll and labour compliance.
  • Develop and maintain payroll policies procedures and documentation.



Requirements

  • Experience with payroll software such as ADP Paychex Workday UKG Ceridian Dayforce or similar platforms.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and payroll reporting.
  • Excellent analytical organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet strict deadlines.
  • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification is a plus.
