Position Summary
A SIGN -ON BONUS OF $4293 IS AVAILABLE FOR THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT OF THIS POSITION PAID IN 2 INSTALLMENTS WITHIN 12 MONTHS OF HIRE : $2146.50 WITHIN 30 DAYS OF HIRE DATE & $2146.50 12 MONTHS AFTER HIRE DATE . Participates in the repair and maintenance of 800 vehicles and pieces of motorized equipment including UNC -owned and NC Motor Fleet vehicles. Work performed includes but is not limited to oil changes and lubrication; tune-ups; replacement of electrical system components; replacement of water fuel and power steering pumps; cooling system service; brake service; exhaust system repair/replacement; transmission and clutch service; complete engine overhaul; and computerized wheel balancing machine. Position also diagnoses computer-controlled systems and makes repairs that are consistent with industry standards. * A valid North Carolina Drivers License or ability to obtain one prior to start date. Also requires a NC State Inspectors License or the ability to achieve certification within six months of hire.*
