Caterpillar is seekingan1st ShiftAssembly Production ManagerinVictoria TX. In this role you willbe responsible formanaging a production schedule technicians and overall performance ofdesignatedvalue stream to meet Caterpillars goals for People Quality Velocity and Cost. This position willreportto the Senior Production Manager.
What you can look forward to in this role:
Monitor and improve safety on the shop floor; eliminate any unsafe operations and ensure a safe and clean product environment.
Determinesprocessing needs toassurefixturestooling and methods are provided to meet schedules and production requirements.
Daily tie-in with production management todesignateworkload priorities and sequence for work assigned.
Determinesovertime needdeterminespriorities when resources are insufficient and decides when disciplinary action is necessary.
Suggest changes in working conditions anduseof equipment to increase efficiency. Works to improve processestimelinessand reduce costs byeliminatingnon-value-added activities.
Ensures the quality of product produced and conforms to Caterpillars Quality Policy whilemaintainingcost.
Ensure necessary parts and materials are ordered and distributed ina timelyand efficient manner
Implement various corporate initiatives such as 5S Lean Manufacturing 6 Sigma CQMS/ISO certification etc.
Responsible for training and development of stafftime keeping estimating personnel needs assigning work meeting completion dates and ensuring consistent application of organizational needs.

Performance Management: Knowledge of successful performance management techniques; ability to apply organizations performance management system practices and tools todevelopingandimprovingindividual team and organizational performance.
Analytical Thinking: Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability todeterminethe root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems.
Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication conceptstoolsand techniques; ability to effectivelytransmit receive and accurately interpret ideas information and needs through the application ofappropriate communicationbehaviors.
Accuracy and Attention to Detail: Understanding the necessity and value of accuracy; ability to complete tasks withhigh levelsof precision.

Ability to work cross functionally with multiple diverse workgroups in the facility.
Previousleadership experience

Summary Pay Range:
$89210.00 - $133810.00Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors job level market locationjob-related knowledge skills individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
