Manager, Data Science

Responsibilities:

• Hires evaluates and supervises crew. Provides guidance and training as necessary to develop crew. Sets performance standards reviews performance and makes informed compensation decisions in accordance with all applicable Human Resources policies and procedures.

• Ownscomplex data science initiativesto support data-driven business decision deploy scalable AI/ML solutionsthat solve real business problems and drive measurable outcomes.

• Partners with product engineering and business stakeholdersto translateneeds into elegant data-driven solutionsand ensure delivery alignment while holding the bar of quality and impact.

• Prepares reviews and deliversinsightpresentations and action analytical findings and implications to business leaders.

• Supports the continuous evolution and strategy of Vanguards data science in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of five years of related work experience in data science or analytical roles. Experience utilizing statistical and machine learning methods required.

• Advanced Python programming and experience with machine learning frameworks (e.g. TensorFlowPyTorch Scikit-learn). Proficiency in cloudplatform(such as AWS) and their AI services and tools.

• Proven ability to align AI/ML solutions with business objectives and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Excellent collaboration skills with cross-functional teams.

• MS/Ph.D. degree in Statistics Computer Science Operations Research Applied Mathematics Economics or a related field.
