Linux Systems Administrator Journeyman

This role supports a Navy customer in Lexington Park MD.

Job Description and Responsibilities:Install configure and maintain an organizations Red Hat Linux systems. Perform System monitoring and verify the integrity and availability of hardware network and server resources and systems. Review System and application logs and verify completion of scheduled jobs including system backups. Install and upgrade software and maintain software licenses.

• Hardware/Application Support for Red Hat Linux Systems.
• Compliance Assurance: STIG Patching Backups ACAS Scans.
• Scripting: Bash and Ansible

Basic Requirements:High school diploma or equivalent and 3 years of relevant experience

Preferred Skills and Experience:
Red Hat Linux 8.x and newer experience (required)
Bash Scripting experience (required)
Familiarity with STIGs (Required)
Anisible knowledge (desired)

CertificationRequirements:Security (or equivalent) and RHCSA (Red Hat Certified System Admin)

Security Clearance: TopSecret or above (must be a US Citizen)

Telework and Travel:On-Site. <5% Travel.

Contract: This position is supporting an active funded contract.
