What were looking for...

We are looking for a motivated detail-oriented Junior Software Asset Manager to join our growing SAM this role you will support the day-to-day administration tracking and optimization of our software estate.

What youll be doing...

You will gain hands-on experience working with industry-leading tooling (Flexera) assist with data preparation for large publisher contract renewals and help compile evidence for audit defense. This is an excellent opportunity for an aspiring SAM professional to develop their career working closely with Procurement and various business entities to identify cost-saving opportunities and drive operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Flexera Data Maintenance: Support the administration of Flexera. Assist in importing licensing entitlements updating software inventories and ensuring data integrity within the asset management platform.

• Procurement Support: Assist Senior SAM and Global Procurement teams in preparing for contract renewals with large publishers (e.g. Microsoft Adobe Salesforce). Help gather usage statistics and deployment data to identify underutilized licenses.

• Audit Defense Assistance: Support the audit mitigation process by collecting required deployment data organizing proof-of-purchase records and maintaining audit documentation folders.

• Business Unit Engagement: Actively follow up with various business entities and technical teams to ensure they execute assigned optimization tasks (e.g. reclaiming unused software uninstalling unauthorized applications and reallocating licenses).

• Reporting & Analysis: Generate routine software compliance and optimization reports. Help identify variances between software installations and purchased entitlements to highlight potential financial risks or savings.

***This role can be located in any US based Verizon hub location.***

Youll need to have:

• Bachelors degree or one or more years of relevant experience required demonstrated through work experience and/or military experience.

• Experience with software and infrastructure

• Experience procurement or asset management

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

• Experience in software contracts and licensing metrics.

• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced dynamic environment.

• Experience in coordinating with cross functional teams from legal sourcing and business units.

• Strong quantitative skills.

• Experience in reading and interpreting legal documents such as contracts amendments etc.

• Ability to meet deadlines manage multiple projects simultaneously and thrive in a fast-paced dynamic team-oriented collaborative work environment.

• Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.

• Critical thinking skills with the ability to execute on details.

• Excellent interpersonal skills verbal and written communication skills
