Job Summary
Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated Summer Internto join our R&D Software Engineering teamin Wilmington Delaware. This role focuses on applying Artificial Intelligence (AI)to develop and enhance software tools for test automationworkflow pipelinesand engineering workflows. Youll work closely with our engineering and SWQA teams to design test and develop practical applications that use modern AI technologies.
This internship offers the opportunity to work on real-world R&D challenges with the potential to extend into a part-time role during the academic year.
Key Responsibilities
Apply AI-assisted development techniques to generate and accelerate software development
Contribute to the adoption of modern AI development practices and tools
Design develop and enhance internalsoftware toolsin C C# Python JavaScript and HTML
Document AI initiatives including use cases requirements and outcomes
Communicate AI strategy progress and outcomes effectively across teams to ensure alignment and adoption
Review validate and refine AI-generated code to ensure quality performance and maintainability using strong software engineering principles
Collaborate with cross-functional R&D teams (software firmware test and hardware)
Participate in code reviews debugging and continuous improvement of development practices

Qualifications
Currently pursuing a Bachelors or Masters degreein Computer Science Software Engineering Electrical Engineeringor related field
Programming experience in at least one of the following: C C# Python
Programming experience in JavaScript and HTM
Experience with Git or similar version control systems
Experience with AI development and have built agents experimented with novel prompting approaches or shipped AI tools as side projects.
Awareness of emerging AI trends tools and best practices
Familiarity with AI-assisted coding tools(e.g. GitHub Copilot or similar)
Strong attention to detail with a conscientious and quality-focused approach to work
Demonstrated problem-solving ability
Understanding of software development fundamentals including version control and testing
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
The intern pay rate for this position is $36.57$38.86/hour plus eligibility for paid holidays and medicalbenefits. Our pay ranges are determined by role level and location. Within the range individual pay isdetermined by work location and additional factors including job-related skills experience and relevant
