As our Instructional Designer II you will be a part of MISOs highly talented Technical Development Team which is dedicated to supporting the growth of employees and stakeholders by creating learning experiences that build technical expertise and agility. You will leverage your skills and utilize a variety of learning approaches and partner closely with subject matter experts and leaders to meet the evolving needs of the organization.
Additionally as our Instructional Designer II you will lead project intake analysis design development and maintenance of training content while applying best practices in learning and development. You may also provide support for the LMS Administrator supporting the facilitation of instructor-led sessions or assist with simulation-based training.
You will also have the opportunity to work on initiatives such as:
Developing e-learning modules
Supporting instructor-led training
Creating learning solutions based on customer need and project
In one year as our Instructional Designer II you will know you were successful if:
You have designed highly interactive pieces of content that support organizational outcomes
You have built strong partnerships among subject matter experts across Operations
You have a basic understanding of our business and how our team drives organizational value
You have demonstrated MISO core values
We are looking for hardworking professionals who have:
At least a Bachelors degree in Instructional Design Technology or related field
At least six years of related Instructional Design work experience
Proficiency with Articulate Storyline 360 Rise 360 Camtasia and Adobe Creative Suite (portfolio required)
A strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
The ability to work effectively in virtual conferencing platforms (Webex Teams)
The ability to develop and maintain instructional materials including multimedia simulations and eâlearning
The ability to manage project plans timelines and documentation
We would also prefer candidates with the following:
Previous experience in a setting that had high compliance requirements (energy utilities healthcare aviation etc.)
Experience with Co-pilot and AI add-on for Articulate 360
Appropriate level will be determined based upon experience and knowledge.

The base salary compensation range being offered for this role is $79000.00 - $104000.00 USD annually. Base salary range for this position is included in accordance with requirements of various state/local pay transparency legislation. Please note that salaries may vary for different individuals in the same role based on several factors including but not limited to location of the role individual competencies education/professional certifications and qualifications/experience.
